Isn’t it fun meeting someone new. I know it’s sometimes scary, but our global access through the internet takes the panic away. We can click a few buttons and say ‘hi’.
Today I met Marie Forleo through Shannon’s WWE‘s facebook post. Thanks Shannon.
Marie is a vibrant and talented young woman. She began in the fitness arena and has moved to personal coaching. She’s been on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, she’s interviewed Arianna Huffington. She has her own YouTube television station, Marie TV, talking about how to start a business and live the life you wish.
Marie is young enough to be my daughter and old enough to teach this old dog a lot of new tricks.
I looked at Marie’s website, her blogs, her videos. I thought, my my my, don’t I wish I could do what she does. Don’t I wish I could have the skills it took to create what she’s done.
But, as I was telling someone yesterday my daring new adventure will definitely be online. When someone is beginning their sixth decade new positions don’t come easily.
Online, there is no age or gender discrimination. No one knows that I’m the curvy size I am, that I have wrinkles born of experience or that my reading glasses are always firmly on my head.
I can just be me and create my daring adventure. I can’t become Marie, I really don’t want to, I want to share the passions of Mary Helen. That I can do.
I’m glad I met Marie today. She provides a lens of wonder and joy that I believe is essential to creating our “heart dreams”.
Life’s daring adventure is full of exploration. Meeting people like Marie make it amazing!
